So the ripped jeans trend has come around and i decided to save some money and make my own. In this blog post i will show you how to achieve shop bought looking ripped jeans made in the comfort of your own home!
You will need:
-A pair of jeans which fit comfortably
-Chalk and/or pins to mark your cut
-A blade knife or a pair of sharp scissors
-Sand paper
-A ruler
-And a piece of old cardboard
First you want to put your jeans on, and mark the place you want to cut with chalk ( I did two slits on the knees) then you want to take them off and put pins in the outlining where you want to cut.
Next put your card board in the leg where you want to cut first and cut a straight line along the top of your ruler with your knife /scissors and repeat on the other leg.
Then you can start fraying the edges with some sand paper and finish by putting them in the washing machine to frey them even more and make them look really rustic. And viola you have your own pair of ripped jeans!
This is so easy to do and will save you a ton of money, you can just get a cheap pair of jeans from
primark or even use an old pair you don't wear anymore. I hope you enjoyed this DIY and please tag me in your pictures if you decide to recreate this.
